May 16th 2022 ~~ C & C Availability
Good morning and/or afternoon.
What’s a little wind, rain and cloud between friends? You know, I’d be just fine if it continued raining all month long. I love wearing my yellow rain slicks and gumboots in May. I’m saving a ton on sunscreen anyway, and hey I haven’t wasted even an hour on irrigating the garden this month, bonus points. Welcome to the wetcoast, the balmiest place in all of Canada. It’s ok, I’m fine, we’re fine, I don’t miss the sun at all….
All jokes aside, cloudy days are actually excellent days to be in the garden. Transplants get a chance to root in before the scorching summer heat cooks them up. We have a mighty fine offering today, a well-rounded list of classic favorites and new additions as well.
We have a small run of beautiful planters this week. Tuscan Talls are full and juicy, lots of color and instant wow. We also have our classic decostones on the list this week. Confetti blends of petunias and verbena, calibrachoa and bacopa and fireball marigolds in different shades and colors.
Need some vegi starts? We got them? It’s a fine week for tomatoes and an even better week for hot peppers. Sometimes whilst doing my evening chores and I panic and think, “I need more bacopa”. Does that ever happen to you? This week’s homework is to Google Zaluzianskya Night Phlox. It’s my favorite and it’s available in three different types this week in full bud and bloom.
Wishing you a fine weekend in the garden, success, and good health
